ALL ABOUT DULSE..

A dory is a small, shallow-draft boat that is 15 to 22ft in length. These boats are lightweight and are very adaptable for commercial fishing. Their history dates back to 300AD
We use small boats called "Dorys" to travel to remote shoreline locations where we hand-pick the cold, fresh and wet dulse. Here in New Brunswick's Bay of Fundy, we have the largest tide rise and fall in the world. This gives us a very clean shoreline - a perfect location for Sea Vegetable to flourish. Sea Vegetables can only be harvested when the tide is down. This is also a seasonal harvest because sea vegetables should be naturally dried on beach rocks in the warm summer sun. It is then processed fresh and stored for year-round shipping to our customers.
